Professional tour for students of the Institute of Economics and Tourism: immersion in the world of the hotel business

This week, second-year students of the Institute of Economics and Tourism took an educational tour to the AMAKS Zolotoe Koltso Hotel. The event was held in the format of a professional tour and became an important part of the practical training of future specialists in the hospitality industry.

Objectives of the event

The main task of the professional tour was:

  • to introduce students to the real work of the hotel complex;

  • demonstrate the technological processes of guest service;

  • provide an opportunity to communicate with industry professionals;

  • consolidate theoretical knowledge through the observation of work processes.


The program of the visit

The tour covered the key services of the hotel:

  1. Reception and Accommodation Service
    The students saw how the registration of guests takes place, studied the algorithms for working with reservations and the specifics of interacting with customers during the first stage of their stay.

  2. Economic service
    The tour participants got acquainted with the organization of the work of the maids, the standards of room cleaning and public areas, as well as the quality control system of the service.

  3. Administrative divisions
    The students were told about the hotel management system, planning the loading of the room stock and working with partner programs.

During the communication with the heads of departments, the students received answers to their questions:

  • requirements for personnel at different levels;
